Mr. Langitoni Kachikopa was born in 1968 in the Dowa district of Malawi. He joined the Ministry of Education as a primary school teacher in 1987 after completing his Teacher Training College education. “My ambition was to become a teacher so I am very happy that I achieved that,” said Mr. Kachikopa. He is married and has four children who are students at Chankhaza Primary School, where he works as the Head Teacher. “ I love the education sector because it produces products for the betterment of Malawi’s socio-economic growth. If you have a lot of people who are educated, then as a country you have a better ground for development” he said. Mr. Kachikopa told us that Goods for Good’s material support has helped improve the educational prospects for orphans and other vulnerable children in his community who lack school supplies. “Goods for Good and Africare are helping a lot. Children who could have been at home because they didn’t have a pen or pencil are now attending school full-time. This is marvelous!”
